I have visited Levant quite a few times over the years and never cease to be delighted by the warmth of the welcome; literally in the winter with a log fire, or on the deck by the chuckling brook in summer. Tanya manages to combine traditional middle eastern flavours with the Mediterranean influences of France, Spain and Italy which reflect her Franco/Egyptian heritage. Whether it’s a paella, pomegranate infused duck, or Middle Eastern Mess it is served with charm and love. This is informal dining with young local staff so don’t expect sharp white tablecloths and matching tableware. Highly recommend if visiting Somerset’s many attractions or a pit stop before shopping in Bristol or Bath.
