The restaurant
Please note: the restaurant is now closed. We have moved to Alhampton, near Castle Cary, from where we will be continuing our takeaway service (update coming soon) and restarting the catering as soon as circumstances allow.

The concept was originally inspired by Tanya’s Sephardic Jewish heritage — a melting pot of Spanish, North African, European culture and traditions. It’s a modern take on the food of “childhood memories and the food that I love: filos, fatayers, muhamarra, spicy fishcakes and koftes.” We have now branched out to include all of the culinary world.
So you might find Moorish-style meatballs, Spanish tortillas, Persian stews and roasted aubergine dips on the menu here: spiced, sometimes delicately perfumed and always beautifully presented.

Levant’s menu changes weekly but there’s always mezze to share as well as vegetarian dishes, salads, scrumptious desserts and a cheese board featuring local Somerset varieties. Only the freshest seasonal ingredients are used and, wherever possible, sourced from suppliers within just 20 miles of Castle Cary.

Please call Tanya to make a reservation or send us a message using the contact form.
